Sample dialogue

Here is some possible sample dialogue between Parisa and Mareike.

“What the hell did you think you were doing?” shrieked Mareike, nostrils flaring.

“I thought –” began Parisa.

“Don’t think then, you stupid girl,” Mareike snarled. “If I was by myself, I would have dispatched that crowd easily. Your so-called ‘diplomatic’ approach only made things worse. Frankly, I must say that I am honestly amazed that you could have lived for so long.”

“Not every situation can be solved with violence and intimidation, you know,” pouted Parisa. “Nor is it necessary for most situations. Violence is only the easy way to do things and often doesn’t really resolve anything at all. The master of the house I grew up in often could defuse tense predicaments with some choice words.”

“Tch. You’re really are a naïve little brat, aren’t you? Well, look at where pretty words have gotten you now. You’re homeless, everyone you know is dead, and the master of your house wouldn’t have been able to save his own life with all the flowery prose in the world. What do you say to that, eh?”

Stricken, Parisa walked alongside Mareike in silence, careful to hide her face from Mareike’s eyes. Knowing that she had hit a nerve, Mareike walked steadfastly on, refusing to admit that she did anything wrong. The girl had to wake up to reality at some point. She couldn’t believe in some fantasy world any longer. Not if she was going to survive in this world.

“Watch out for that root,” Mareike cautioned, breaking the tacit silence that had descended on the conversation.
